Extending a Hand Foundation (Fundacion Una Mano Amiga) is hosting a "Backpacks of Love" campaign. Each year we support children from the Santa Ana and Nazareth Orphan schools, sick seniors from the Guillermo Greffestein Elderly Home, and other poor kids from the villages around Agua de Dios with a backpacks drive campaign, delivering backpacks full of primary necessities to those in need.
In 2013 the school was declared unsafe after a building inspection. The building is at high risk of falling because of poor foundations and fragile structure. This building has two sections, one is the housing area for more than 30 orphan girls and the other is where more than 150 children attend classes everyday, including orphans and poor children from surrounding villages.
